Screenflex for Windows

A detailed guide to installing, configuring, and optimizing the Screenflex Player on Windows devices.

1. System Requirements

Screenflex works on most modern Windows systems used for digital signage or kiosk setups.

Minimum requirements
  • OS: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • CPU: Dual-core processor or better
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Storage: 250 MB free
  • Internet: Stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection
Recommended for signage
  • Windows 10/11 Pro or Enterprise
  • 8 GB RAM or more
  • SSD storage
  • Wired Ethernet for best reliability
  • Dedicated mini-PC or digital signage player

Windows tablets, mini-PCs (Intel NUC, Beelink, etc.), industrial PCs, and large-format Windows displays are all supported.

2. Downloading Screenflex for Windows

You can download the latest Screenflex Windows app directly from our website.

3. Install Screenflex on Windows
Step 1 — Run the Installer
  1. Locate the downloaded file.
  2. Double-click to launch the installation wizard.
  3. If prompted by Windows SmartScreen, click More infoRun anyway

    (This appears until Windows fully recognizes the publisher certificate.)

Step 2 — Complete the Installation
  1. Choose the installation directory (default is fine for signage).
  2. Click Install.
  3. Once completed, click Finish.
Step 3 — Launch Screenflex

The app will open automatically after installation.

4. Linking Your Device to Screenflex
Step 1 — Generate the Code
  1. Log in to your Screenflex Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Screens → Add Screen.
  3. Fill in the form.
  4. A 6-digit pairing code will be generated automatically.
Step 2 — Enter the Code in the Screenflex Windows App
  1. Open the Screenflex player on Windows.
  2. Enter the 6-digit code (or the Screen Slug) shown in the dashboard.
  3. The device will link, sync playlists, and start displaying content.

This linking method ensures that only authorized users can register new screens.

5. Disable Screen Saver and Sleep

Critical for digital signage.

Step 1 — Disable Sleep
  1. Open Settings → System → Power & battery
  2. Set Screen timeout to Never
  3. Set Sleep to Never
Step 2 — Disable Screen Saver
  1. Open Start → Search “Screen saver”
  2. Set Screen saver to None
Step 3 — Disable Display Power Saving (on external monitors)

On your external display:

  • Turn off Eco Mode
  • Disable Auto Power Off
  • Set No Signal Timeout to highest or off
  • Ensure Always On mode is enabled when possible
6. Updating the App
  1. Download the latest installer
  2. Run it again — it will update your existing installation
  3. No need to re-link; your screen stays paired
